Pride and arrogance have no place with God. Jesus measures strength not by how cool you act, but by your humility. Look at John 13:3-7. You’ll see a great picture of Jesus’ humility. Working on humility in your life will help you be more like him. And that’s what it’s all about.
The choices we make don’t just affect us, they can also affect others in either a good or bad way. When we make bad decisions, we sometimes hurt others and damage our relationship with them. To avoid hurting others with our bad decisions, we must look to God to know how to make a wise choice.A wise child accepts a parent’s discipline; a mocker refuses to listen to correction. Wise words will win you a good meal, but treacherous people have an appetite for violence. Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper. The godly hate lies; the wicked cause shame and disgrace. Godliness guards the path of the blameless, but the evil are misled by sin. (Proverbs 13:1-6)
